President of ADB speaks highly of VN’s measures to control inflation

President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Haruhiko Kuroda spoke highly of Vietnamese Government’s measures to control inflation and maintain sustainable macro-economy.

President Haruhiko Kuroda made the comment at his meeting with PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on Feb. 28 in Hà Nội.

Mr. Haruhiko Kuroda believed that Việt Nam will overcome difficulties and challenges and obtain greater achievements in the future.

ADB will raise its preferential loans for Việt Nam to US $2 billion in 2011, including loans for helping the country develop human resources and education and training, the President stated.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng appraised ADB’s cooperation and support for Việt Nam and expressed that Việt Nam would like to coordinate effectively with ADB in the future.

Facing with current difficulties, Vietnamese Government has recently muster all its strength to curb inflation, stabilize macro-economy and guarantee social security, he added.

He also applauded the ADB’s 44th annual meeting held in Việt Nam and committed that Vietnamese Government will do its utmost to coordinate with ADB in organizing this event.

The same day, Deputy PM, FM Phạm Gia Khiêm also received Mr. Haruhiko Kuroda in Hà Nội.
